It's not all that often that I glance at the stats for this site. The small amount of traffic doesn't vary a whole lot and I don't have any advertisers to appease, so none of it really matters or is of much interest to me. Sometimes, though, I'll click around out of boredom. Like I did once last June, I found something humorous when looking at search phrases that led people here.
Ha! I like that somewhere somebody was thinking about Mike Pagliarulo being a jerk and decided to Google up some support for this stance. I also like that they felt "jerk" or another similarly mild invective wasn't quite the harsh enough indictment they were looking for. I thought it was kind of weird that particular search would lead someone here.because I don't tend to use that word or others of the nature on this blog (every sentence out of my mouth in actual life is another story, however). I know I wrote about my disdain of him but I was pretty sure I didn't call him one of those. Turns out I was half-right; I referred to him as "one of the a'holes along with Jack Clark that talked mess on Tony The Gwynn way back when". Apparently abbreviating it is close enough. I like to think if I had written that post recently I would have sidestepped even alluding to a half-obscenity because I'm so incredibly mature and care very much so about the children who could be (but aren't) reading this blog.

Happy Birthday, Robert Fick!
Happy birthday to Robert Fick, who turns 38 today. It's Mike Pagliarulo's birthday too but I wrote about him one year ago and that's pretty much all I have to say about the guy. Pictured is Ficky's jersey from when he attempted a return to San Diego as a Spring Training NRI in '08. When it's my turn with the Sisterhood jersey I'm going to take the sleeve patch off of this one and sew it on to the Staton. I think it would be kind of cool in a historical sort of sense, two Spring Trainings fifteen years apart joining together, bridging the gap, blah blah blah, whatever...

21 Cards From '91 (Happy Birthday!)
Today is TMBGOTFOTE's 21st birthday, so I thought it'd make sense to post 21 cards from 1991. Not that she cares about the Padres or baseball at all but, hey, it's what's happening. Most of the pictures and scans are from when I was going to do this last year but forgot about it while doing actual birthday stuff that matters. On a side note, I think she's the only other person I've known who couldn't care less about their 21st birthday being their 21st. It doesn't matter to her because she doesn't drink; it didn't matter to me when I turned 21 because I'd had a fake I.D. for about three years...

Another Birthday: Mike Pagliarulo
Sorry for the lack of content lately. Since I'm in a hurry and have to be at work in 24 minutes, I'm just throwing up another birthday card. Mike Pagliarulo's old ass is turning an old ass 51 today. I don't think very highly of him since apparently he was one of the a'holes along with Jack Clark that talked mess on Tony The Gwynn way back when... and NOBODY talks mess on Tony The Gwynn. So, Mike Pagliarulo, have a good time doing whatever the hell the Mike Pagliarulos of the world do on their birthdays.
